Music

THE FIRE WHICH IS WITH ME SINCE MY CHILDHOOD

When I was two I fell in love with Lambada by Kaoma. I used to sing and dance to it at every family party egged on by aunts and uncles. Once when Lambada was on, I went up to the Unitra high-fi and cranked the volume up to the max enthusiastically as only a two-year-old could do. I was immediately flung away by the power of the speakers. The glass throughout the high-rise we lived in trembled. My eyes popped out in a search of help and my nerves were on fire. Thunderstruck. After that I danced Lambada even livelier.

That’s how I united with Sound forever – we melded. It was my musical baptism, one of my oldest memories.

PROJECTS

HOUSHUSBAND - ON BEHALF OF MASCULINE SENSITIVITY

ARTO POP / TRIP HOP / ALTERNATIVE ON BEHALF OF MASCULINE SENSITIVITY

After years of experimenting with old instruments and lo-fi, I returned to my roots – the guitar and simpler songwriting. I also made the decision that the next project would be music broadening the acceptance of male sensitivity and male quirks, and song was perfect for that. I deeply believe that talking about the discriminated and underrepresented aspects of masculinity will unlock mass of potential in both men and women, and thus change the world for the better.

GWIAZDA RUBIEŻY (THE FARAWAY STAR) – SACRAL MUSIC FOR ATHEISTS AND AGNOSTICS

– SACRAL MUSIC FOR ATHEISTS AND AGNOSTICS RECORDED IN MY BEDROOM
BAROQUE POP, LO-FI
(2013-2019)

„The star in culture is the guiding light – the Bethlehem one leads to Jesus, mine – to the farthest wastelands to let one learn the infinity of his/her separateness. It’s something like Patti Smith’s ‘Jesus died for somebody sins but not mine’. I don’t believe in sins, but in self-awareness – down to my bones. Actually that’s what she probably meant. Finally she became spiritual. In contrary to appearances, when you betray all systems, you are closer to God, whatever he is. Sufism has a term signifying literally perverted ‘tatterdemalion’, who apparently is deprived as he always overtly says what he thinks, but inside is absolutely pure. So it occurs that the Faraway Star is a star of nonconformity and self-responsibility. Finally we come full circle, as in the ideal world the Star of Bethlehem was the same thing. Hadn’t Jesus call people to be the same? For sure not to be judgmental and controlling of others.”
